Understand the why
A habit is easier to keep when you know why it matters. I explain the science in plain words, so you can make your own calls.
I'm River Wilson, a health coach in Fort Collins, Colorado. I help busy adults understand why they feel the way they do, then build the habits that change it.

DRAFT: rewrite in your own words before launch
Before I was a health coach, I trained as an EMT and a firefighter. I'm EMT-Basic and Firefighter I certified. That work showed me, up close, how much daily habits shape health. Sleep, food, movement and stress don't seem like much on any one day. Over months and years, they add up to how you feel.
I wanted to understand the why behind that. So I'm now studying Health and Nutrition Science at Colorado State University.
I care most about energy, because it touches everything. When you feel good, you show up better at work, at home and for the people you love. When you're running on empty, even simple things feel harder.
Grasping Health is how I help people take hold of the habits that shape how they feel. No hype and no quick fixes. Just clear science and small steps that fit the life you already have.
How I coach

Big changes tend to fade by week three. Small ones that fit your real week are the ones that last.
They are the base everything else is built on. We make room for both, even in a busy week.
You decide what we work on and how fast. Keep your doctor in the loop, and talk with them before you change your diet, exercise or medications.
Coaching is not medical care, and it doesn't diagnose or treat any condition. If something you tell me sounds like it needs medical care, I'll say so and refer you to your doctor or another licensed professional.
